The Holy and The Profane Collide

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

proverbs 9.10

When you survey the Bible, you read about two primary realities. One reality is a “Greater” reality and the other is a “lesser” one. Not rocket science here. But this is a distinction that must be at the forefront of our awareness or else the Bible and its Beautiful message quickly slips from something penetratingly potent to pitifully pathetic – from God-centeredness to man worship! In this embryonic season, we at theocentric will take a closer look at snapshots of the Bible that unfold the incredibly dynamic scenario that occurs when this “Greater” reality, the Triune God, peals back heaven – steps out – and collides with the “lesser” reality – profane mankind! From Genesis to Revelation, we shall behold this simple, yet profound, reoccurring theme of Scriptural fear of God and Divine Gracious Promise in Jesus Christ with our prayer to God that He would graciously deliver us from mere exposure to a living, vital experience in Him.

An Ever-increasing experience of the Glory of God in the grace of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
