One Down...many, many, many more to come...

We were gathered together for the first time last Wednesday evening! 100% attendance...again! Some old friends, new faces, and hopeful hearts were sovereignly brought together by God's wonderful plan and purpose in anticipation of what we hope and pray will happen among us...and through us! There was some interesting discussion, a few rabbit trails, a word from Isaiah 64, some singing along with a gifted musician, some munchies...and again, the hope and prayer that God would take "the few loaves and fish" He has already given...and grow us in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, for the fame of His Name! It seems that God is giving us a desire and hunger to see Him as the greatest, most valuable and thus, most satisfying Reality - not only that IS, but also that can ever be concieved of! And as He continues to do this more and more, we cannot not give expression to this in every single, solitary aspect of life! Every one of them under the Sun, including the Sun!!
The Word from this week is also our prayer:
Oh that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at Your Presence--as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil--to make Your Name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at Your Presence! When You did awesome things that we did not look for, You came down, the mountains quaked at Your Presence. From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides You, who acts for those who wait for Him. You meet him who joyfully works righteousness, those who remember You in Your ways. Behold, You were angry, and we sinned; in our sins we have been a long time, and shall we be saved?
Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ, who loves us and gave Himself for us! He torn open the heavens has come down!
